Compassion in World Farming (CIWF) has been campaigning on behalf of animals for better welfare and to end cruel factory farming practices for nearly 40 years, and they have a track record of achieving real change for farm animals.

CIWF have just launched their latest campaign to promote better welfare standards for the 1.3 billion pigs reared worldwide each year for meat. This new campaign is supported by new banners and a dedicated landing page: Compassion in World Farming - About Pigs

Pigs are intelligent, sociable and intelligent creatures with the ability to feel suffering and distress, wellbeing and contentment. Yet the majority of farmed pigs are confined in intensive factory systems where they are unable to express their natural behaviour, and often endure painful mutilations to their tails and teeth. CIWF believe that pigs deserve better.
