Based in Brentwood London, Sorry no remote workers.
Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm


Job Purpose: To work with the company management and staff to establish and develop the Company's strategic direction and to manage the IT staff and existing infrastructure.

Key Tasks:
"Work with the management team to define, establish and maintain the company's computer software and hardware requirements.
"Work with the management team to define and develop the application systems required to support the Company's current and future activities.
"Conduct investigations and analysis to support the strategic requirements and report findings back to management.
"Specify the Company's requirements, hardware and software, to both internal and external technical teams as appropriate.
"Provide delivery estimates for IT development to the management team.
"Manage the Company's IT support staff and provide Project Management for all IT developments.
"Ensure appropriate back up and support procedures are in place.
"Ensure basic documentation is developed and maintained.
"Provide support to end users across all departments of the Company.
"Liaise with workplace colleagues, customers and suppliers as appropriate.
"Comply with all Company's policy and procedures.

Person Specification:

Personal Skills:
Proactive, hands-on approach
Excellent management, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Skills:
Applications Development experience is essential.
Working knowledge of the following technical areas is desirable:
Microsoft Office
Windows XP, 2000, SQL server operating systems MS VBS / VBA, ASP HTML ./ XHTML / CSS Broad full life cycle systems development experience in a commercial environment, including a team leadership role.
Demonstrative practical experience of formal project management, covering a range of systems development projects.
A broad knowledge of IS, covering applications, data and technical infrastructure.
Managing windows web servers - IIS
MS Exchange

Qualifications:
Relevant degree or equivalent.

Experience:
Experience of managing all aspects of an IT department, both a hardware and application software development, is essential.
