  Bank of Scotland Credit Cards

Just had my first batch of sales/leads on BoS

All at $4 - none at $30!

Anyone else finding this too.

With Marbles I get close to 50/50

Any comments on which you think is the best converting/rewarding card to push?

Thx

10 leads at $4 from 960 clicks = $40

Not great

My stats are very similar to yours

2% coversion on clicks and all at only $4

I think it's time to switch them over to something else.

Thx.

I suggest keeping them on the site, but just give priority in the listing to one of the other CJ credit card programs. At least you are still giving your visitors a choice but just prioritising the order the credit cards apppear.

I've been concentrating on their charity credit cards, not sent them many visitors but the conversion rate is good, $80 EPC so far.

Hi JF

Are you seeing many $30 sales or are nearly all at $4?

They're either very fussy about who they approve or they're not giving affiliates full credit for accepted applications.

I've taken Qui's advice and demoted them in favour of Marbles.

At least Marbles reporting is live rather than waiting a week and just hoping for the best!

Thx.

We have had a $30 transaction just go through on the Poppycard.

Earnings per click on all Bank of Scotland cards is only 8 cents, but it's turnover.

Without a doubt, CJ have the best selection of credit card programs.

Another batch of 15 BoS Cards on my account today

All 15 at $4, none at $30!

I can't beleive they're rejecting every application.

I'm still getting 50/50 leads/sales with Marbles.

A bit suspect I think????????????

Anyone else getting the same?

It might depend how you're promoting them.

My acceptance rate on Marbles was awful, they reduced my commission rate for leads because my traffic was performing so badly.

I realised this was because they were positioned second on my site, below Capital One. I believe that people who weren't accepted by Capital One then applied for Marbles, and obviously they weren't accepted by them either. I moved Marbles to the top and the acceptance rate shot up dramatically.

Maybe the same thing would happen with B of S if you made them your number one credit card.

Hi JF

You could be right.

I have Marbles top and BoS further down.

What is interesting is I know someone who is a Chartered Accountant on over £100k per year - no mortgage - applied for the NSPCC card from BoS through my link as he thought it was a good idea to support a charity - DECLINED.

His letter said 'We felt it would place too high a financial burden on you to give you a BoS card"

Good eh?

  Credit Scoring

Due to the wierd and wonderful credit scoring system that some lenders use people that have never had the need to borrow can have more trouble getting a credit card or loan than say someone with a mortgage and 4 or 5 credit and store cards simply because the guy who has never borrowed before is an unknown risk.

When I was in the mortgage world some of my most affluent clients were the most difficult to place with a lender.

We would also advise people not to apply to a whole load of different cards at once. It is tempting to suggest that people apply to all your programmes, because each app is another chance for you to earn revenue (especially those issuers who pay out per form, not per success).

However, each application is noted on your credit file, and loads at the same time simply makes you look "desperate" for credit.
