I hate reversals

I could just be extra grumpy having just seen a decent chunk of money removed from my balance but what's a reasonable chargeback percentage?

The merchant in question is listed as 27%, is that high?

I can see both sides of it and if all the transactions that have been reversed really were invalid CC's then fine but it doesn't make for happy viewing

woke up this morning in a better mood :-) and decided it's fair enough about the reversals but can anyone tell me if 27% seems high?

The worse one I have is Psyche at 56% which has dropped from almost 70% !!!
My next highest is 6.8% which makes you wonder a bit.
Time is always against us so I tend just to increase exposure for the competition and decrease it for the merchent in question, rather than sit and wait for replies to emails.
In general I get very little reversals which gives me alarm signals when I see the high ones.

Who was the merchant, we can see if we had a similar problem?

it was strawberrynet, maybe it's not so bad after a more detailed look but about 1 in 10 is reversed.

It's quite often the higher value sales too and the reason is always invalid CC.

Just had a quick look for you, I have the same reversal rate with them too.. about 1 in 10, or maybe just a little over.

Invalid credit card too.

ah well so it's not just me then!

I don't suppose there is much you can do but trust them though.
