  Uk Betting Major Disasters

This will teach me for putting my faith back in Ukbetting.

$1920 commission due for November for betting accounts 90% ukbetting

Now down to only $600 which has not been either extended or corrected i.e. reversed.

Thats 15 accounts left . Good job this isnt my only income or I would be stuffed. .

Fortunately, we had not joined the program at the same time as other affiliates, but I really feel for those who had spent a consideable amount on PPC, who gave it prescedence over their other betting programs. The EPC must have been very misleading.

I also have all my ukbetting accounts opened during November set to extended and four of them bloody corrected. But this is the exact same thing that happened with bet365 not so long a go, so no big surprise. Look on the bright side, you'll get a nice extra bonus at the end of January.

Everyone I have talked to has been in the same boat and there not doing that so its a different problem not a localised one for me alone.

  Reversals

Just received:

Dear Publishers,

In the last few days a small group of you may have experienced reversals on some of the commission payments made on behalf of UKbetting.com. I am emailing you to explain the reasons for this.

By the terms and conditions of our program, commission is to be paid only when a betting account is opened and the individual makes an initial deposit. Unfortunately, we have been paying commission every time a CJ generated account deposits funds rather than just for the initial deposit. This means that in some instances we have been paying double and even triple commissions for only one sale.

Please except our deepest apologise for these reversals and I assure you that such an error will not occur again in the future.

Regards

UKBetting.com

If Jim Henson was alive today I am more than sure he would be proud to have them as part of his team...

Isn't that right Beaker?

First it was Bet365 and now UKBetting.. thing you have to ask yourself is this... if they are so careless tracking sign-ups, how many are we losing because of equally poor tracking set-ups and also how do we know UKBetting is not just at it, where is the proof.. are we going to see an audit trail showing what each account deposited and how it matches to our CJ account?? I know the answer to that one.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter whether they are corrupt, incompeyent or totally professional. You send them so much traffic & they pay you so much cash. They are either worth promoting or they are not & I think I know which.

I'm sure the muppets will have paid out much more than they should have done because of this problem, and they'll have been unable to reverse the transactions that have already been paid.

Are any of the overpaid affiliates offering to pay back this extra commission? (I'm not!)

999GI, I signed up to Bluesq through your site on Saturday, I bet with my heart rather than my head so if you get a profit share you should do ok from me!

  Re: Muppets

They can't get anything back if they messed it up they need to find out whose fault. If it's CJ they should pay, if it's a member of UKBetting staff he should be reprimanded... Why should Affiliates pay all the time?

Affiliates like me pay for it by reversing almost every single transaction for November bar 3. That's 31 gone for me with the word "Duplicate Order" as the reason.

I am doing all right on the other CJ programs and was kind of expecting to be contacted to explain what is going on. I asked UKBetting (or CJ support who ever reads the mail for a response, none was given) if they want this industry to gain more respect they need to act more like leaders. TD when they made the account balance error called me up to explain why they where about to remove £5k from my balance, I listened and accepted what they had to say. This showed respect for affiliates by admitting a mistake happened and explaining it fully with nothing being hidden.

I have not been lucky and been overpaid... no one even knows if you have been, has someone from CJ undertaken an investigation to find out what's going on?

I expect certain "shrinkage" anything from 5% to 10% (and of course house sales, i.e. no cookie = no cash) is ok in my books as that's what a shop in the high street would face with theft and online is no different. But how can anyone expect me to have faith in a program or a system when I lose 91% of the transaction in a month????

It brings lots of things in to question like:

How can you budget your PPC listings based on sales that you can't trust? What happens if you where paying out £1 a click thinking you where doing better than you are just to have such a massive reversal. I know affiliates that could be wiped out on a loss of $1,240 in a month.

If it's just me that thinks this is wrong, then I will shut up and get on other things. I personally don’t think knowing the full facts about something is wrong, I can accept errors and mistakes, however when they are in this scale, I like to be shown proof and an audit trail to back them up. I don’t even know the full technical reason as to why this has happened and changing the cookie to 1 day was not a solution as I got sales reversed after the 21st November so to me the problem as far as I can see has still not been resolved and we have no date as to when it will be.

Oh and if you think I am CJ bashing, just read over my posts in the past about Barclaycard and friends. If it works I say, so I shouldn't expect to be quite when it's not working

Isn't that right Andy and Randy Pig?

Thanks JF!
I'm honoured to have you as a punter!
I'm on rev share with BlueSQ so you can win as much as you want.

Clarke
I know exactly what you are saying & do feel the same way myself about some merchants. But as I said above it all comes down to whether they work for you or not. It sounds like UKB may not be working for you, so dump them & move on. You can waste so much energy on lost causes that I'm sure you could put to better use.

I'm still with UKB as I haven't been stiched up (yet anyway) but there have been a few potentially lucrative programs that I have walked away from.
