They can't get anything back if they messed it up they need to find out whose fault. If it's CJ they should pay, if it's a member of UKBetting staff he should be reprimanded... Why should Affiliates pay all the time?
Affiliates like me pay for it by reversing almost every single transaction for November bar 3. That's 31 gone for me with the word "Duplicate Order" as the reason.
I
am doing all right on the other CJ programs and was kind of expecting to be contacted to explain what is going on. I asked UKBetting (or CJ support who ever reads the mail for a response, none was given) if they want this industry to gain more respect they need to act more like leaders.
TD when they made the account balance error called me up to explain why they where about to remove £5k from my balance, I listened and accepted what they had to say. This showed respect for affiliates by admitting a mistake happened and explaining it fully with nothing being hidden.
I have not been lucky and been overpaid... no one even knows if you have been, has someone from CJ undertaken an investigation to find out what's going on?
I expect certain "shrinkage" anything from 5% to 10% (and of course house sales, i.e. no cookie = no cash) is ok in my books as that's what a shop in the high street would face with theft and online is no different. But how can anyone expect me to have faith in a program or a system when I lose 91% of the transaction in a month????
It brings lots of things in to question like:
How can you budget your PPC listings based on sales that you can't trust? What happens if you where paying out £1 a click thinking you where doing better than you are just to have such a massive reversal. I know affiliates that could be wiped out on a loss of $1,240 in a month.
If it's just me that thinks this is wrong, then I will shut up and get on other things. I personally don’t think knowing the full facts about something is wrong, I can accept errors and mistakes, however when they are in this scale, I like to be shown proof and an audit trail to back them up. I don’t even know the full technical reason as to why this has happened and changing the cookie to 1 day was not a solution as I got sales reversed after the 21st November so to me the problem as far as I can see has still not been resolved and we have no date as to when it will be.
Oh and if you think I
am CJ bashing, just read over my posts in the past about Barclaycard and friends. If it works I say, so I shouldn't expect to be quite when it's not working
Isn't that right Andy and Randy Pig?
