sometimes i think we are by seen by avertisers as standing on street corners in kings cross walking up to men stopping in cars and asking...."hi, you looking for anything special, i have this great credit card if youre interested......"

i mean they must think thats what we are the equal of or why else wouldnt they answer simple straight questions. Take for instance the very simple question i posed to capital One...

Dear Mr big advertiser....as you dont let us link to your main card..the no hassle one...we must assume we dont get paid for anyone ending up choosing that..i only ask because i see you slipped the no hassle card into the themes page which you provide a link to via cj.....do we get paid for anyone choosing this card via the direct link to it?

is it asking too much to know if i am supplying free traffic?

I rang stuart about something the other day and he told me what he knew there and then, ...then went off to find out the full story and got back to me later that day,

Could be worth ringing up about as as the deal may have started at one thing then evolved over time.

Know what you mean about it though, morgan stanley are using the same "trick" (aka leech marketing strategy) with their buy and fly card, the main link takes you to a page with all 3 cards on yet we don't get paid for any buy and fly apps yet. (as of last conversation I had about it the other week)

which SUUUUUCKKKKS especially on a targeted landing page.. very poor and kind of shows a lack of respect I spose or at best a lack of understanding of the basic principles of affiliation, ie .. we send the eye and clicking fingers and they pay for what those eyes and fingers buy/apply/do...nowt more nowt less.

Vote with your size 11's - MSDW buy and fly is also available on SmartQuotes - as is Capital One, with a landing page that does not include the No-Hassle-unless-you-are-an-affiliate Card...

nope havent rung stuart, ive become so used to being told to contact the advertiser direct that i do that first.....

intersting your answer about buy and fly..this is what morgan stanley told me this week...
