I hope Thomas Cook are planning on a longer stay with CJ after there sudden exit from TD earlier this year. I have to say it converted very poorly as well. Not sure if there was some problem with TD and Thomas Cook.
Forgive the scepticism but no explanation was ever offered and i need convincing as to why it has changed now Thomas Cook has teamed up with CJ?

Thank you for your note!

Although I cannot comment on the issues that Thomas Cook encountered at the beginning of the year, as I was not part of the team then, I can assure you that this programme with CJ is here to stay. We have invested in dedicated resources to manage the programme which we did not have before and also we have heavily invested in our site to ensure that we improve the customer experience/usability, increased the content and changed the look and feel.

Just before Christmas we are launching our fantastic new site which will encompass all of the above and will naturally increase the conversion ratio in your favour.

Should you have any other questions or queries then please feel free to get in touch.

Hi Danny

Welcome to the forum

Do you have any plans to make a feed of your holidays available?

Best regards

Keith

How are initial conversions looking on the new programme??

The initial feedback i've heard is not too good.

What is the conversion rate of the Thomas Cook site overall?

Hi

As this is only the programmes second week it is too early to give you accurate information regarding it's performance, however some publishers are converting at over 4%.

It all depends on which products you are pushing for this time of year. For example there is not an abundance of holidays for Christmas and New Year that are available.

If you want more detailed information on what are our best sellers then please PM me.

Thanks

I've just been playing around on the Thomas Cook site which seems good.

However on going through the booking process I got the message below which isn't good from an affiliate point of view.

I've heard that over 50% of charter flight travellers don't take the in-flight meal now.

Message from the site .................

In-flight meals
Dear Customer,

Please note that an optional in-flight meal has automatically been added to this booking for your convenience. If you require this, please continue with your booking online.

However, if you do not require an in-flight meal please call us on 0870 750 5711, quoting the holiday reference number shown at the bottom of the main page, and we will be more than happy to remove this item and complete the booking over the phone.

We hope you have a great holiday.

The thomascook.com team

That's bad - unless there is some way that as it has started as an online sale the booking reference can still be credited to the affiliate

As part of our new site that is launching next week the customer will be able to opt in OR out of any holiday extras online - instead of calling the call centre. i.e. the customer will be able to take off the in-flight meal online.

This is one of many changes to our site that will keep the customer online and increase the site conversion.

It is our goal to ensure that we drive all of our business online.

Thank you for your fedback!

Danny
