TUI UK Affiliate Developments - PLEASE READ

Hi,

On April 19th there is going to be a relaunch of the Commission Junction Thomson Holidays program with four actions on the account:

1) Beach Holidays
2) Flights
3) Accommodation Only (Hotels & Villas)
4) City Breaks

The only impact to Thomson Holiday affiliates will be the need to accept new terms which include these actions however this does mean that on April 19th the Thomson Flights program will close.

This means all Thomson Flights affiliates must apply to the Thomson Holidays program in preparation of April 19th when they must switch their links over to new creative available through the Thomson Holidays program as of that date.

This move is done to improve the quality of the program overall and give affiliates the chance to earn even more (less leakage), so if you have any questions please e-mail me on: affiliates@tui-uk.co.uk

We have also launched http://www.thomsonaffiliates.co.uk to keep all our affiliates updated on our 5 CJ programs. Plus we've launched search form banners and product feeds on all our accounts. Take a look now!

Many thanks for all your work

Hi Pete

So between what dates can we switch thomson flights links over or must we do it exactly on the 19th April?

What happens to sales made on the cookie after this date?

Cheers

Ang.

  Thomson Flights

Hi,

Because we're basically switching the tags (we can't hold two conflicting tags on our confirmation page) unfortunately the sales on cookie will be lost.

We recognise that this is annoying but there is very little we can do. Having said that we hope that the increased earnings you'll see from the other products in an integrated program will compensate to some degree.

On your other question on April 19th we will offer new terms with all four actions, which you must accept to begin earning. We'd love to do this sooner but because we're taking one tag out and putting another one in straight away it'll be an instant change.

If you have any further questions please let me know, we'll do all we can to ensure a smooth transition.

Thanks

Pete

This incredibly inflexible situation sounds as if it is not your doing. However, I'll be in sunny Las Vegas on 19th April, and won't be going near a computer for two weeks. So basically, because of this inflexibility, I have to take down my Thomson links before I leave the country (April 12th) and put them back up (with revised T&Cs) when I return on April 28th.

So both I and Thomson lose out at one of the most important booking periods.

And I'm sure it isn't just me who will have problems changing links at x-hour on April 19th.

Is this still on schedule for the 19th Pete?

I see there are now Thomson flights links on the main Thomson programme - do these track yet? ie. Can we switch now?

Cheers

Thes has now been brought forward

Quote:
Dear Publisher,

On Thursday 14th April the Thomson Flights program will close and be relaunched as an action on the Thomson Holidays program. This has been brought forward for admin reasons.

Therefore all publishers will be expired from the program today in preparation.

The change will benefit publishers by integrating the programs together and allow publishers to earn from traffic that crosses between the sites.

As a publisher you need to do the following things to continue earning with Thomson Flights:

1) Sign up to the Thomson Holidays program now
2) On April 14th Thomson Flights will close
3) On April 15th Flights will be launched as an action on Thomson Holidays, you need to accept this new term.

If you have any problems please let me know

Many thanks

Many thanks for that. Missed the update!

It was in my diary for the 19th!

Flights banners now exist that link through to thomsonflights but no flights action has been set up yet.

Thanks Pete, just about to post to let people know.

As Pete says the flight action will be available from tomorrow on Thomson Holidays so you will need to accept these terms to begin earning on flights.

Many thanks

Pleased to report that we are getting "cross over" sales on this program, with links from holiday pages getting flight sales and vice versa.

The new search boxes are working really well and provide a interactive element on your site that does convert into sales.

If you have not updated your links for a while, you will be surprised at all the new content, including a great Email template.

With the crossover sales working well, it would be nice to see Portland moving into the same program!

Any plans Pete?
