  Abound Terms

Just got this email.

***************
Dear Publisher

Abound have increased their commissions from 4% to 6% and new program terms were offered last week. However, an outdated set of terms and conditions were mistakenly offered, and therefore we have had to offer out new program terms today.

As the terms and conditions are now the most recent version, you will need to physically accept the new terms and conditions in order to remain active on the program and receive the 6% commissions.

To do this, go to your account, and review your pending offers. Please accept this new term asap as the system will automatically expire publishers who do not accept the terms within 7 days.
*****************

What I feel is wrong is that you have just 7 days to respond to there mistake on terms, having just the other day accepted new terms on the programme, or what was meant to be new terms, maybe 14 days to reply would be better in this situation to allow anyone who has gone for a weeks break/holiday.

What do others feel about it.?

I agree, 7 Days is ridiculous - especially considering the cock up last week with the other brands increasing and then lowering their commission again on the same day! Perhaps someone at CJ should advise their clients better on dealing with Affiliates

Hi

Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. The reason for the 7 day notice period is to ensure that publishers move on to the new terms, and start benefiting from the increased commissions, as soon as possible.

We appreciate that this may be inconvenient for some people and will be working hard to ensure that all publishers are aware of the changes and sign up to the new terms before the end of the 7 day period.

Again, please let me apologise for this error and any inconvenience caused.

Please contact us at abound@cj.com if you have any queries.

Still doesn't offer much help for those who might be on holiday right now. Automatic expiration seems extremely unnecessary!

Hello,

I’d like to take this opportunity to respond on behalf of Abound and Shop Direct Group.

CJ have taken full responsibility for this error and we are working with them to ensure that all publishers are given the opportunity to rejoin the program. We have asked them to extend the 7 day period - they are currently looking into this to see if it’s possible.

We truly value your support for our program and although we regret the inconvenience caused, we do urge that you sign back up as soon as possible in order to take full advantage of the current 6% commissions.

If you wish to contact me directly about this issue, please email me at the address below. Thank you for your understanding.

The period in which you have to accept the new terms has now been extended. If you have not already accepted the terms, please do so in order to be put onto the higher commission rate.

Thank you

Sarah Day
