Warning: Capital Spreads bypassing commission

We have just received this very interesting email from one of our members who uses our cashback site.

"Hi. I am trying to register as a user with Capital Spreads, but unfortunantely it does not allow you to. My friend has also had these problems. When you write to them, they send you out an email registration form and ask you to return it direct, but admit that you hereby forfeit your xxxxxxxx.com cashback.

We have tried it over several days, and with many, many email addresses (all genuine), and none of them work for some reason.

Sounds like they are trying to buck the system to me."

Why does this not suprise me! Looking at other threads it seems more and more dodgy merchants are being outed of late.

Would Captital Spreads or CJ care to comment...

Sounds like they don't want to work with cashback/reward sites.

While I can't see they mention this in their program terms and conditions, they have got a fair few other restrictions so it wouldn't surprise me if they have now added this restriction too.

They've got a contact email on their CJ merchant page - have you tried emailing them direct for a response?

Thanks for your reply. I have emailed the agency involved, but I'm not really holding out for a reply. CJ merchants seem to have the worst responce rate of all the networks. Maybe I should have held back before posting (feeling a little hot headed after reading a few of the other threads!).

But at the end of the day Capital Spreads manually approved our site and we have received no other contact to inform us that they don't want to work with incentive sites.

That's odd then if they manually approved you - I would have thought if they didn't like cashback sites they would have rejected your site at that point.
