Does EBTM convert for you?

... because it seems not to for many people.

The EPC statistics show that the affiliate program converts worse than 99% of the affiliate programs we belong to on CJ. We've hardly had any sales for the traffic we've sent EBTM. Obviously, if the site does not convert well, we don't make any money.

The company's got some talented people on board and we were hoping this would turn out to be the 'new ASOS'.

What have your experiences with EBTM?

Built a site for EBTM last year.

In 8 months the site has received 9166 uniques from SERPs, 1234 unique clicks registered at POR and made just under £85.

Thanks for those figures Dave. I'd say they're reasonable.

The CJ figures show EBTM lagging far far behind other UK retailers in the same sector. They have been thus for months.

They may not target identical demographics, but the conversion stats are as follows:

Overall the program converts well for band fansites - a number of these sites were recruited as Affiliates, promoting EBTM using product feed content with products just from that band or group. Works well for them, and most Affiliates earning commission on the program are Affiliates who target the band over selling the product - for example its not a t-shirt your selling like a normal fashion/clothing Merchant, your selling a 50 Cent t-shirt.

Shocking conversions for me and I run a indie music based site.
The sales I do get, take ages to validate - if they're not cancelled.

Shame as it could be a really good program and business.
