New Ebay payment structure - BIN's and Bids with zero value

Ebay's new payment structure went live on the 1st March. I've had a good think about it and still haven't worked out if I'll earn more or less. Basically you now get a % of ebay's fees on a winning bid, but nothing for a bid that doesn't win. Given ebay has never told me if a bid whent on to win, or what the items value was, it's hard to guess.

Anyway, yesterday all the transactions for "Buy it nows" and Bids are all zero. OK, maybee the items the bids were placed on items that haven't ended yet, but the Buy It nows would have.

Sale Amount - £0.00
Comissions - £0.00
Corrected - £0.00
Status - New
Action Name - "Buy it now" / Bid
Event date - (through out the day from 06:02pst to 16:30pst)

Anybody else seeing this?

Oh yeah zero even on BIN

I can see why bids might not get anything yet

Hi,

Yes saw the same thing. Have spoken to CJ this morning and they say that it will be
updated tommorow when the stats will reflect the correct figures.

Basically just slow to update but the changes should be good for affiliates.
I know on my US sites that the commission is a lot better than for comparable
UK bids.

HTH

Cheers

Steve

Some of the Bids appear to have changed to "winning bids" and the commisions fileds now have values in them, but the "buy it nows" are still showing zero's.

So far on the winning bids 1/3 are above the old payment structure, 2/3 are below the old structure.

Paul,

Yes definately looks like a reporting delay - i'm still waiting for a few
hundred to update from the 1st March - though some on that day have
started to change. The 2nd/3rd March is not showing properly either and
is way off at the moment.

It's a bit early to tell whether the new structure is better or not but the ones
that have updated on the whole seem to be better for me. A few have been a little
lower than previously but adding them all together the new total is higher
at the moment. Will have to wait and see I guess how it pans out in the long
run.

Cheers

Steve

Hi everyone,

The "Bid" and "Buy It Now" actions will still show up in your reports with £0 commissions. The "Winning Bid" action is the new action for which you are receiving commissions. This action includes Bids that have been won and any Buy It Now.

For each "Buy It Now" action you see on your reports with £0 commissions, there is a corresponding "Winning Bid" action, for which you are receiving commissions.

Thanks,

Cian
