in its biggest Christmas campaign ever…

‘Go for a free day’

In its biggest ever campaign, Thomas Cook will give holidaymakers a free day off millions of its holidays.

We are calling on Brits to join the campaign and sign its petition for an extra Bank Holiday - and to prove it means business, Thomas Cook is offering millions of free days on holidays booked between now and the end of March.

Holidaymakers wanting to make the most of the ‘Go For A Free Day’ offer - and to sign the Bank Holiday petition – can do so at any one of Thomas Cook’s 800 stores or online at www.thomascook.com.

We only get eight public holidays per year…but many of our European neighbours have as many as 12

The Spanish top the tables with a massive 16 Bank Holidays a year

Brits are at the bottom of the Bank Holiday league with only the Romanians ranking below us

There are 121 days between the last Bank Holiday in August and the next public holiday at Christmas – nearly a third of the year

Across the group, we will be asking the public to sign our petition, either in our stores, on our planes, in resort and of course, online. This is a true Thomas Cook group campaign, with comprehensive TV coverage; it will be by far our biggest yet

On thomascook.com this campaign will be running from the 26th December through to the end of March.

I will keep you regularly updated by sending out a communication each week to inform you of new messages to promote. As you will have seen, we launched a new site on the 19th December. We have also been running our holiday incentive over the past week – I’ll inform you of the winner as soon as the competition ends and I have looked at the results.

Nice promo and a cunning way to drive more traffic to their site - which is cool because it's one affiliates can get involved with.
I'm sure they'll get a huge petition together 'cos it's only employers that are unlikely to vote for more holidays.
Hmmn, so all you have to do is think of something like British Summer Time which a large percentage of us want sorted, set up a petition and viral traffic should ensue - maybe...
