  QVC "Fees"

Logged in to my CJ account today and notice my balence had dropped. Since eBay left CJ I do very little through them, so a drop is noticible.

It appears I've been charged a "Fee" by QVC. I thought it might have been due to items being retunred, but after adding up the various combinations of "Extended" QVC transactions I canot match the "Fee".

So can anybody explain what this "Fee" is?

  Re: QVC "Fees"

I've just checked my account and I too have a fee charged by QVC. No idea what it is though.

Hi Paulzie, Leaddo,

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience. You were part of small group of publishers that were affected by a payment processing error. An email was sent yesterday to all publishers affected.

The programme terms for QVC state that all publisher transactions are to be extended to take into account reversals/returns. In this case the payments were not extended due to a processing error and the gross amount was paid to publishers, not the net. The fee relates to April returns that had not been processed till now.

Steps have been taken to ensure the extensions will always run to ensure this situation does not arise in the future.

For any queries please drop Tom Leadbetter a line at tleadbetter@cj.com

Alternatively, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks,

Dan

That would have been the email I received at 10:38 this morning then. I've also had a look through my emails and can't find the email "As per the email Commission Junction sent you last month"

I've checked the stats back to February and the "Fee" is about 45% of the total income for the period. Never realised QVC had such a high return rate.

Hi Paulzie,

Perhaps last month your traffic was not affected, so you were not messaged.

For many retailers returns can be quite high, although 45% is getting on the top end of what we'd expect. Is that 45% of sales count, or 45% of the overall commissions. If its the latter, a reversed large sale could really impact the numbers.

Thank you,
Dan
