data feeds basic help needed

I have been given access to some product data feeds but I need some very basic help on what to do with them. The feeds are in text files and I need to find a way of putting them into a mysql database. I can't find any tutorials or help anywhere. I have phpmyadmin but you can only import files that have been dumped from a database. If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.

I worked out what to do with the data feeds and managed to put them into a database. I've also found out how to query the database. If anyone can point me towards tutorial that would help with displaying the results I'd be really grateful.

Thanks for this. I've managed to write a php script that displays the products I want on the page. Does anyone know if it's OK just to use the BUYURL for the links to the merchant's website?
