CJ signup query - CJ in different countries.

Ok, I'm looking to signup on CJ for the first time, if anyone could help get a couple of points clearer for me that would be great. [N.b. I would be signing up as an individual at the time being, not a company.]

1. CJ Global Regions:
I understand CJ have different global regions, USA, UK, etc. and while you might well have access to the advertisers in other regions (directly or indirectly), your account itself must belong to 1 region.
i.e. your account could be a CJ UK account or a CJ US account or Germany, France, Sweeden etc.

2. CJ Joining Agreements - T&Cs
When I go to sign up, if I put my contact address down as my UK one, it offers me an agreement with ValueClick Europe Limited - a UK company. If I put down most other European countries, say, Portugal, I get ValueClick UK, or likewise Malta, Spain, Italy etc - all give agreements with ValueClick - UK Company.
[Using France, Germany and Scandinavian countries take me to agreements with companies in thouse countries.]

However if I put down my Gibraltar address (which is where I am resident) I get an agreement with Commission Junction USA? Not CJ UK as the rest of Europe seems to offer.

Q: Does which agreement you get determine which 'global region' your account will be in?
How can I complete a sign up agreement with ValueClick UK Limited using my Gibraltar address?
I do have a UK address, UK bank account and cards at my UK address but I'm not tax resident in the UK and don't live there. Could I just sign up using my UK address and then change it to Gib once inside? Can you move country?

3. Geo rejections on CJ
I keep hearing talk of automated (or manual) blanket rejections inside the CJ universe depending on your geographic location.
Q: How does this work? - Are they rejecting people because they are in the wrong global CJ region? Or is it because their account has a contact address outside the UK? Or is it on a website by website basis as you apply for programs?
It is predominantly UK schemes I would want to join.

4. Your website you initially join CJ with.
When joining CJ, say I give exampe.co.uk as the site I wish to put adverts on first.
Q: Is this then locked as the site advertisers will always be told is the site I'm applying for their scheme?
My initial site for a CJ program could be off topic for future applications I have in mind.

Hi Monty,

Thank you for your questions.

1) Your login for CJ covers the entire network, all merchants.

2) The UK and US agreements are for CJ internal purposes and do not affect your relationship with merchants in the network or with Commission Junction. I am not sure why Gibraltar has a US agreement (I'm checking on this) but it will not impact how you would work with CJ or your merchants. You should sign up in the country your reside (tax speaking).

3) This is up to the merchants. Some merchants choose to restrict affiliates from certain countries. However there are not regional specifications determined by CJ/ValueClick. If you have been rejected because a merchant has put Gibraltar on "auto decline", you can contact us and we can give you hand in getting on board. In the end, we encourage our merchants to have an open mind to different markets. As you know doubt know, an affiliate in Gibraltar can drive perfectly good UK traffic.

4) The site you enter is what the merchants will see. However you can change this site or add as many others as you choose.

I really would appreciate it if you could look into why Gib is getting the US agreement - as I personally would very much prefer to enter into an agreement with a UK company rather than a US one.

My guess is that Gib just slipped through the net of places to be put on the UK list.
