The Guarantee
Solo 30 and Combi 30 are market leading tariffs offering the most amount of minutes in the market (Combi 30 now offers 700 minutes), but we need to shout about it so we’re embarking on our biggest advertising campaign ever.
The campaign will leave no doubt in our customers minds that T-Mobile is the best value network – that right now, customers won’t find more minutes for £30 a month. This is the first time that any network has felt confident enough to make such a bold claim.
The Advertising Campaign
Last night, we launched our biggest advertising campaign ever. It’s based around people having to search in all sorts of places for the most minutes and not finding it because you’ll only find it at T-Mobile. Feel free to email
Rich.Way@Quantum-Media.co.uk to see some examples
The message is simple: You won’t find more minutes for £30. Guaranteed.
Your Solo 30 and Combi 30 customers deserve to know that they don’t need to worry anymore as T-Mobile will guarantee that they can always get the most minutes for £30 a month. So, if in the future, a customer finds more minutes for £30 at one of the other 4 networks, they just need to ask and we’ll match or beat it.
How will we know what our competitors are offering?
T-Mobile Customer Services have access to a new system called Match Checker (not customer facing) that allows us to monitor what our competitors are offering every day. Match Checker gives details of our competitors’ tariffs, so customers can ring Customer Services to find out what we will match and if we decide not to match it then the reasons why.
How our guarantee will work – new customers.
Customers connect to Solo 30 or Combi 30 as normal, are explained that if in the future, one of the other four networks (Vodafone, Orange, O2, or 3) offer all their customers more minutes in one of their £30 tariffs (across their entire phone range), they can call Customer Services and we’ll match or beat those minutes.
The legal stuff.
§ The tariff must be from one of the other 4 networks (Vodafone, Orange, O2 and 3) at exactly £30 a month
§ The minutes in the competitor plan need to be a fixed amount of any time any network minutes, be available across their entire phone range (so not handset specific)
§ The tariffs need to be on the same length of commitment (that’s 30 days for Solo 30 and 12 or 18 months for Combi 30)
§ Customers can ask us to match a competitor offer once a month
§ We won’t be matching time limited promotional offers from our competitors, share/business tariffs or tariffs where the monthly line rental includes payment for a phone
