Jason, what I have had to end up doing is open an additional account.. It looks like the only way to avoid this type of problem at present. I had confirmed with CJ if it was ok to own more than 1 account and they have no problem with that at all.
Would it be possible for CJ to change their format for site descriptions/settings etc.
My partner who has a language site is turned from a merchant because she happens to also run a site promoting credit cards - er, why? where is the sense in that? She wants to promote language products on the language site - not the cards one - but because she happens to also run the credit card site, she can't promote a language merchant? Illogical!
The Credit Card site was set up in the list of sites, so it was separately defined - but she's still turned - d'oh!
Ok, you could set up two independent CJ accounts - but affiliates shouldn't have to do this, simply because of the inability of some merchants to do a bit of research.
As far as I can see, merchant managers look at the profiles rather than the actual domains and sites - that makes some sense to an nth degree, but little sense in reality.
Could CJ implement either a system like Tradedoubler does (one account, split into domains) - or can they perhaps help merchants a little more by getting them to "work" with affiliates who may just happen to be interested in promoting their products.
Many affiliates run more than one domain and some of us are not always up to date with the profiling - which at best isn't much use anyways.
