    Good Morning,

This is my first post on this forum so please be gentle! I have joined as an Affiliate and would like to create a deep link to a specific landing page on the merchants website. I cannot see how this is possible as the only option I have is for banners and specific product links. Is this at all possible?

I have emailed the advertising contact but have received an out of office reply (they are not back until the 27th).

    Many Thanks

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the swift reply. Having read the article it looks as if the merchant (CMSNL - Motorcycle Parts and Accessories) doesn't allow deep linking which is a real shame.
Is there anyway to change or allow this?

    Thanks

CJ, Couldn't you make this a bit simpler?

eg. Click on merchant page, click on 'deep link generator', paste in URL, click submit and there's your deep link.

This is is a lot simpler with most other networks. With the Buy.at Link Engine they've gone one step further, you don't even need to specify the merchant, as they get that info from the link you paste in.

    Hi Thundercat,

They do not allow deep linking. This would be related to how the merchant has set up their tracking systems in house. It is our first recommendation for merchants to always deep link.

When a merchant does not allow deep linking, you will not be able to insert an alternate destination URL.

    Hi Darren,

We are working on enhancements to our current system. I will be letting the forum know as we make changes. This is an area we look to build upon in the future.
