If you notice with Internet Direct, they have several programs running simultaneously, each with a different url.

Does anyone know what happens if the visitor goes from one section through to another as they each have different domains, is it still tracked?

Very reluctant to put this on until we are sure.

Not sure with them - bit cheeky if it doesn't.
Noticed the odd merchant doing this, Swerve on A/Window have a link to their womens site from all their pages. I used to deep link to it untill they told me they don't pay commissions on that site.

Well I've signed-up as an affiliate for both Internet Cameras
Direct and Internet DVDs direct - different aff. URLs - so I think
these are separate aff. programs.

I may be wrong of course (but don't think I am)

If you sign up for Internet Direct, you get links for the different domains, but their linked to each other, so we are trying to establish if the tracking crosses over domains

Stepping aside from the java pop-up that says call us on the home page. It is possible for a program from different URL's to track if they use the same end shopping basket and show the same end thank you page for the call back image to then be sent. I dare say they could have a different end sales thank you page with the same call back image used on them all and for that to work also. Other networks work in a different fashion so I am not 100% sure how it would be set-up here.

You just need to work out if that's what's going on or not. Other than doing a test sale, I am not sure what else other than contacting the network/merchant for information.

Hello There,

Internet Direct have been set up so that there is a differect action for each product, therefore there is a different pixel in the confirmation page for dvd,tvs etc.

So if through an affiliate link they visited site A, but decided to go through to one of their other sites (Not thro an affilaite link). Will it be tracked and credited?

I've just mailed them direct asking for clarification on this point.

Sorry for the delay in the answer but I've been away on my hols. With regards to the earlier question, the answer is yes. If you went in through DVD and then proceeded to go forward and purchase a TV the sale would still be tracked through CJ.

But a cookie deposited via one domain will not track to the other. (otherwise any website would be able to see any other websites cookies!)

If the customer returns after pondering their purchase decision, the cookie will not track and there will be no commission...

On dgm there is special reserve and their site links to all their other sites... I queried this but was told in email that the cookie travels across sites.
"Does cookie track across ALL their subsites?"
"Yes, all the sites have the dgm hard coded as they share the same back end."

The Cookie is deposited by CJ, not by the merchant.
