Hi all,
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know about some features we’ve released for use in your CJ Member Area to make it easier for you to get complete transparency of the terms and conditions for all of your programmes. First I’ll review a past upgrade, then walk you through how we’ve enhanced it further.
Getting Notice
We know how hard it is to keep track of the terms and conditions for all of your advertisers. These terms change from time to time and reviewing them to stay in compliance can be resource intensive work. To make sure you are kept up to date with any changes via email, in September of 2008 we implemented email messaging for any changes to advertiser terms or relationship status.
Being Transparent
Last summer CJ released a feature whereby our advertisers could also put any search or other terms in the actual Programme Terms. This way you can easily review any terms before joining or accepting any changes to your current terms. Although you should still read the Special Terms and Conditions, the upgrade will at least highlight most of the key allowances and restrictions on the advertiser programme.
Making the Information Available
We’ve also added another function to aid your ability to review the Special Terms of all your advertisers. If you go to “Get Links”>”By Relationship”, you can look at all advertiser relationships. The fields include: My Advertisers, Pending Offers, Pending Applications, Publisher Expired, Advertiser Expired, Declined Offers, and Declined Applications. Now you can download any of these lists into Excel, csv, tab, pipe, etc. Just click “Select All” on any list and choose your format. You will then be presented with a page where you can select the fields you would like to see.
For any publisher wanting to review any advertiser terms, these fields now include the terms that are included in the Programme Terms. In one download, you can see all your advertiser rules in one place. If you want to see the commercial terms, then you can select only them. There are 37 fields, so download them all or some, it’s up to you.
In Summary
We are excited about this feature as it really helps publishers to review and auditing their advertiser relationships. Advertisers can also rest assured that they are giving their publishers the best chance of success by making everything easily viewable.
Do not hesitate to drop me a line and we will be happy to walk you through this.
Thank you,
Daniel Powel
