I have created feeds for each merchant under the webservices.

I now need the url to fetch these feeds using a cron job - how do I find the url for each feed?

    TIA

    Hi Babrees,

I've just emailed you. Really, I can't seem to remember to turn off my out of office. Sorry for the misdirection.

    Thanks,

Why oh why is it so difficult to get an answer to this? This is the reason I haven't worked with CJ before!!

All I want is the url format that will fetch a feed! Why is this so difficult with commission junction? It is extremely easy with all the other networks.

I have asked Daniel, who didn't know so put me on to Nick who gave me info for their API. I replied to him but am still awaiting to hear.

In the meantime I have today received a reply from the ticket I opened on the 7th. But all they tell me is to click "create product feed" under Account > Services.

Is there another affiliate out their who can help me, coz it seems CJ can't!

    Hi,

I can see why you feel frustrated. It seems this hasn't gone as smoothly as it should.

You and Nick were discussing this over email the last few days and Nick sent you sent his last email to you this afternoon. Has he answered your question?

We strive to get back to publishers as fast as possible and I know there was a one day lag between your last email and Nick's response today. This isn't ideal, but Nick was away, so please excuse the delay.

As for the query you raised in our ticketing system, your ticked was raised on Friday and Emmanuel replied on Wednesday. I'm looking into why this took so long. Our policy is one working day, not three. And yes you are correct, Emmanuel did misinterpret your question; it is not a common one, so please excuse the misunderstanding.

You have my details so if you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Thanks,
    Dan

EUREKA! After just over a week of trying I have finally managed to get CJ feeds working with my cron job!!!

Thanks Dan and Nick for your help, even though it took a fair while <G>

Disappointing though to see that some merchants don't bother to fill in categories. This makes it even harder for us to deal with the feed and all the products have to simply go into one category in my database, be it shoes, coats, dresses, bags, etc.

Oh good. It did take a while to get there.

We figured out the issue, so from now on, when we get a web query from the site (which you put in initially), we are not going to log them but assign them immediately and have the assigned person log them. I don't know if if makes sense, but it will ensure that web queries get answered within our one business day target. Thank you for the feedback, it highlighted a periodic issue we were not aware of. Now we've tidied up our processes.

As for the categories, you are right, merchants should have these. In this case, the feed was all the merchant had available and we figured something was better than providing no feed at all. In any event, we might be able to do something about this, so I will keep you posted.

As always, my details are available if needed.

    Have a great weekend.

    Thank you,
    Dan
