Almost all the $0.05 bids on my account have been reversed in the last couple of weeks
    Correction Reason Returned Merchandise
    Original Amount $0.00 USD
    Original Commission $0.05 USD
    Correction Amount $0.00 USD
    Correction Commission ($0.05) USD
most annoying is the correction reason, how the hell do you return a bid?

    big thread on this on

After contacting ebay myself about this they have said

"As of February, eBay corrects transactions to prevent crediting multiple publisher partners for the same registration, active registration, bid or BIN transaction. A portion of each day's transactions may be reversed a few days after the transaction posts (after we have had an opportunity to compare the transactions of each of our channels to ensure that the appropriate partner receives credit). eBay and CJ are working hard to shorten any time difference between when transactions post and potential reversals. We will update all publishers on the process as improvements are made.

We are looking at Google, Overture, etc's natural algorithmic searches. As you know, eBay shows up in Google as well and we will be looking at end users that come back to eBay through our Natural Search results from search engines last, after visting from your link.

Your cookie duration is 30 days still, but they will need to come from your site. The more relevent your content is, the better!
    "

    and
"eBay uses several marketing channels using different cookie codes and our system, unfortunatly, can not decipher on teh front-end which of these marketing partners (CJ being one of them) was the last cookie. We have to examine all transactions from each of the companies like CJ and reverse everything but the marketing channel that sent the final click.

Your live cookie end on the end-ser computer when :
    1) ANother CJ-coded click happens to eBay from another publisher
    2) 30 days after the click (as we have 30 day cookie duration) "

ebay are setting a bad precedent with this one. Whats the point of having a 30 day (or any amount of days) cookie if the customer has to go via your site again. It's more like a session cookie.

There's a MAJOR discussion going on about ebay on a US site on another messageboard. It appears that a number of people are upset that ebay allegedly does not track internally when customers are directed to their national site, so .com customers redirected to .co.uk and vica versa are not tracked and affiliates are supposedly losing commissions.

Apparently ebay have been asked about this and the response is reported to be lacklustre. I would be interested in determining if these allegations are true.

All I can suggest as a possible way of correcting this is to host links to all ebays national sites.

But would this make a difference?

Surely the cookie would be lost once the customer moves sites from within the ebay network.

Its always been like that. They should just scrap the uk affiliate programs and have just one for UK and USA as it uses the same db.

Makes more sence cos lots of UK folks buy from the USA and vice versa as well.
