I stopped promoting them before Christmas, I ordered a few things and nothing tracked. My traffic had also increased but sales had fallen!
Is anyone here promoting Argos with CJ?
I place a test link for one of their product on my site and generated 5 (I think) sales as the traffic is from product name keywords, this was about 1-2 months ago.
Since then my traffic has increased for that term, again still for the product name, but no sales (or click really) are being tracking or reported and my 5 original sales are still not approved.
Does anyone else here have any experience with Argos's programme? It all seems a little to... well broken to me to have not made any sales even when traffic volume has increased.
Any advice or info greatly appreciated.
Cheers

ok it appears that today my CJ account is tracking click and sales again.
seems pretty doggy to me that the day after I complain on the forum it magically start working and tracking, I will def not be adding anymore of there product to my site (cj's other merchants or Argos) for the time being and will be keeping a every close eye on my excite clicks for the product I am promoting would recommend all affiliates keep a close eye on this too.
Hello,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing a problem with the Argos programme. There are a couple of things that may have occurred, many of the sales are Check and Reserve customers where customers reserve the product online and go in store to collect – this doesn’t currently register within Argos’ affiliate programme as a normal Online Sale but instead tracks as a Lead.
If you still feel your sales and/or leads weren’t tracked please can you send any sales data directly to us so we can investigate? You are welcome to email me; Hardeep, at hsohal@cj.com and I'll personally look into the matter.
I can reassure you that the system has been fully functioning over the Christmas period; but we still wouldn’t want to see publishers not receiving their earned commission and are more than happy to investigate further as its possible that deleted and/or restricted cookies could also have hindered the tracking process
I look forward to speaking to you again,
Best,
Hardeep
