Thanks .. I think it's something to do with your flash settings or browser..

however I am getting our coder to take a look at this one, as I believe you should be promted or advised about the error rather than seeing a blank page

    Hi

    I use a very ordinary IE5

I usually surf around the web with activex controls turned off. When I saw the blank page I thought it was something to do with my activex being turned off so I went to switch them on only to find they were already on.

The response from our coders who have taken a look:

"The strange experience is the non-flash site. If someone does not have flash they get the noflash screen which asks them
either if they want to install flash (a grey box appears in the blue area but I can't show you that as I have flash installed!) or invites them to view the HTML only alternative. Once they click on this they view only HTML/images.

This person may have dismissed the dialogue box and not clicked through to the html site."

I don't know if that helps?

    No.
Why not ask your coders to forget the flash - that's not what selling is about.

As a surfer/shopper, I really hate with a passion, those sites that make me wait 30 seconds only to show me how much time their programmers have on their hands. And at the end it says, 'Click here to enter' - bl**dy h*ll, tht's why I'm there in the first place - I want to see what your site sells!

    Lose the flash, I say.

Thanks for your comments KM8, ELC decided as it was our 30th birthday to bring in fresh and interesting content for our consumers, different from our ususakl content. Please bear in mind this is a micro-site i.e: a spin-off of our main site which is clear and concise for selling.

Hope this clears it all up.
