I joined Dating Direct through my own CJ link the other day, and paid £34.95 for three months membership.

Their commission rate is 75%, so I was expecting to earn £26.21 commisison.


When the transaction came through the value showed as £16.04, with £12.03 commission.

So they've paid less than half what was due.

Anyone else noticed anything unusual with Dating Direct?



I'm contacting CJ so I'll report back with their excuse/explanation. I wonder how many other merchants are under reporting like this.

That's appalling, but I'm not at all suprised based on my experiences with datingdirect.com

To be honest, I'm a little suprised you're promoting them anyway (especially on a per sale basis).

I have contact with a number of dating sites and could get you some very nice independant deals if you've got a fair amount of traffic to throw, PM/email me for more details if you like

I'm not promoting them, I joined for, er, 'personal' reasons!

I have promoted their per lead program on Tradedoubler before, with moderate success.


I've not been able to report this to CJ yet. Their contact us form keeps timing out, and the email address I have for their UK office (ukinfo) bounced. It's as though they don't want people to contact them....

I've always had a problem getting CJ to respond to me too!

In terms of 'experience' with dating sites, I've trialled most of the main ones, and can recommend datingagency.com, datetheuk.com and friendfinder.com as the best three platforms I've tested.

I guess I should add I am engaged to be married, met her through random text messaging (long story, maybe for a g2g night!) and have only tested the dating sites for professional reasons only (just in case Emma is reading this - sorry dear!)

Amazingly, CJ have replied. But they've told me to contact the merchant directly.

FFS, this is a clear example of a merchant ripping off affiliates AND CJ themselves, who will receive a lower cut of the commission, but they're not prepared to look into it and sort it out.

I'm about ready to give up with CJ.

I've sent over 1,000 targeted clicks to them this month and have not received one commission.

Normally I have a £20-£30 epc due to the highly targetted nature of the traffic. As of the beginning of this month - nothing ....

I am with Dating Direct using the Netklix Network.

They offer £2.50 per lead, which I presume includes the free trial - but don't quote me on this) or.....

50% of subscription for the LIFETIME of the user!
