ELC - yes, their feed is broken in the way you describe.
I don't know about the other merchants.
I've just started with CJ Product Feeds and after the disaster zone of DGM I'm really not in the mood for lazy merchants with never-updated and always-broken feeds. Could anyone please tell me if they have experienced long-term problems with any of the following merchants feeds to that I can drop them now instead of spending the next six months trying to get something done about them:
Argos - the links always go to the main page, never to the product. It doesn't matter if I upload the feed the same day I get it, all the links go to the main directory page.
MFI - Always getting this:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0005'
Invalid procedure call or argument
/mfi/content/Common.asp, line 311
when clicking on every link.
MarshallWard - just plain won't download into my database. I can't seem to find the problem, all the code seems right but out of eight feeds this is only one that my scripting/server can't process.
Early Learning Centre - the links go to the WRONG products. I clicked 15 in a row and they all went to different (though slightly related) products.

Cost effective web development. Codewise
Try putting argos links into a text field rather than a varcahr(255) as some links are >255 chars I think
I have been using the Argos feed for a long time and it is usually very good.
Although they only pay 2% they obviously have a lot of products so it's a great program to use if you want quantity of data from one merchant.
I grab it every day to update prices and you'd think the prices wouldn't change very much being a catalogue based company but you'll be amazed!
How do you download it daily? I only get an updated version once a week from CJ?I grab it every day to update prices and you'd think the prices wouldn't change very much being a catalogue based company but you'll be amazed!

You need to speak to CJ - I get it every day too
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.
You need to get onto them straight away as 3% is achievable without breaking into a sweat:Originally posted by CompareStore

I'm entitled to the extra tiers and enquired as to why I haven't been moved up the tiers for the Argos program to 3%. They said that they will pay a bonus payment 3 months after the sale date with the owed commission to me!
Tony, are you already getting commission at the 3% rate now?
Cheers

As mentioned above - check your field URL length.
I chinned Argos about exactly the same thing some time ago - and the problem was truncated URLs. They have some very, very long URLs.
