Good to see this coming on board as SS have a great looking site.
EXACTLY the same commission rate as uSwitch at CJ. Wonder if the utility companies would be accused of non-competitiveness if they did that? Only joking
In the absence of a higher commission rate and with SimplySwitch just providing static branding banner, we'll wait 'til their EPC stats are released to see if best to promote SimplySwitch or uSwitch.
Somebody should set up a site to compare affiliate programs of utility company comparison services - beat them at their own game![]()
If you want to know if an energy or phone comparison website is as independent and impartial as they claim to be just take a closer look at how may suppliers they actually show and if they are EnergyWatch certified. It’s what they don’t show that says most about them.
Many so-called independent price comparisons have sneaky little menus hiding away suppliers that they have no deals with, many of which offer competitive deals. They also fail to show some of the best prices as they don’t have deals with them. Some of the best deals around right now are the British Gas Price Protection offering capped prices until 2010 and Southern Electric also offer good deals on single electric supply in some areas of the country. A number of price comparison websites are missing one or both of these suppliers or do not have the EnergyWatch certificate ensuring they abide by strict codes. Make sure your customers get the best deals around and not just those on offer.
Of course I am biased, working for a price comparison website that is No.2 in the market and shows ALL suppliers, has EnergyWatch certification and offers £8 per energy switch and £12 per phone switch, plus kickers. Make up your own mind about who offers the best deals around.
