Have you ever been sacked by text message? I can imagine how it feels haha
Ta la then, they're chucking me off due to no activity, which is fair enough - I'm doing bugger all at the moment. I won't be using them again in an hurry though. Ta la! Who's your competitor? Ah I see, more sales for them in the future then.
It's moments like this when I don't why I stopped smoking, there's so many rude people out there looking to wind you up!If they don't reply to your email or their program turns to dust, they're chucking you off and saying "please reapply when you get over us kicking you whilst you're down"
And it's signed off by someone faceless hiding in the Expedia Time - so I wasnt just kicked off by one person, nah, an whole bloody faceless team instead - nice, thank you, as it's a team - that'll save several Christmas cards at the end of the year!
Cheers
Lee Owen - name at the bottom - it's not so so difficult!

I got kicked off too mate, ironically I generated lots of sales for them in February last year and planned to do the same this time round.
Ho hum.....
Email recieved below less that 1 day after I pointed out that I would prefer to use another program. It seems that the advanced seach box has been landing on a blank page for months. Should we be requesting compensation?

Thank you for being a member of the Expedia.co.uk affiliate program. To maximise the return of our programme we regularly monitor sales achieved through our affiliates and commission earned. Our figures show that in the three months’ to December 2005 you have not achieved any sales. We are therefore giving you notice that we are removing you from our programme, to take effect from 6th February 2006. However, if you feel you can drive sales in the future, you are welcome to reapply to the Expedia program. Thank you for supporting Expedia.co.uk and we wish you every success for the future. Kindest regards. The Expedia Team

Why do they remove affiliates - does it cost them money to have inactive affiliates?
Apologies for the rant but I did and do feel better for it, after stopping smoking, I find letting it all out - better out that in attitude - is a good way of dealing with things.
These kind of merchants are a bit dim. There's a reason why affiliate networks and the like invented tiers so you can concentrate on your good affiliates and the ones that aren't so creative in getting sales can be helped at a different time of the month.
Kicking people off who applied to your programme won't be encouraged to make more or any sales, instead they'll just say clear off and probably feel empowered to assist a rival. Do tiers and put people like me in the bottom one, as soon as I make a sale, promote me into the next tier, don't kick me off. I have so many domain names, in particular a holiday domain parked that gets 50% ctr, I may just point it to last minute now and see if any sales come in.
