    Hi All,

Just wanted to spread the word as much as I could. If you're a member of any of the three Otto UK programs you should have received email today explaining our migration to a batch implementation, which is going into effect as of midnight. This will affect the Freemans, Grattan and Kaleidoscope programs.

    What are we doing?

We have built a new reporting system based on our own internal sales database, not cookies. This means we only report 100% valid sales.

    Why are we doing it?

    • We know how frustrating it is to have sales disappear following periodic merchant reconciliations. This will no longer happen.
    • We have had some issues with reconciling sales, and as a goodwill gesture we have been validating nearly all of your sales. To ensure we are able to invest in the program into the future, we have come up with a solution that will be a win for everyone.

What does it mean for you?

    Some big advantages:

    • You now get commission for orders made on the phone and through the post, not just the web (as long as their first order is placed online).
    • You will get commission on all orders made by valid new customers for 365 days from their first purchase.
    • You will get paid even when the customer deletes their cookies.
    • Still no clawbacks for returns.

    What's the detail?

    • Each day's sales will be reported to Commission Junction overnight. These will be 10 days in arrears so we can catch invalid credit cards, unsuccessful credit account applications and cancelled orders.
    • Example: An order placed on the 1st of the month will be reported and visible to you on the 11th, although it will be date-stamped the 1st.
    • From today, data from cookies will no longer be available.
    • The new reports will look different. They will show sales at individual item level, not shopping basket level. They will look like a larger number of smaller transactions.

    When is this happening?

The tracking begins Thursday 9 March. There will initially be a 10 day reporting gap. That is, you shouldn't see any transactions posted to your account for the next 10 days. Don't worry - you won't lose sales, the new system reports 10 days in arrears.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

    Regards,

    Rob

Anyone had any sales come through from the batch reporting on these programs? Would usually expect a steady stream each day but haven't seen any lately (by my reckoning, the 10 day lapse should have meant that sales started to come through in the last couple of days after the initial delay)

I just wish they would fix their deep links on CJ.
Been broken for weeks now - all redirect to the home page.
Rob said he would fix last month but still the same.
Can't see the point in having then on CJ if they are not going to be maintaned.

Name and shame why don't you Well, we've got the Freemans text links updated, cleaned up, and all pointing where they should today. It will be a few days or so before Grattan and Kaleidoscope will be updated, but It is right up on our priority list now that the batch transition is out of the way. Speaking of which...

The transactions began posting last Sun, 19th, picking up from 9 March. It's not day-for-day though, as I'm seeing two dates in every day's feed. That's down to CJ systems being on California time, so no worries there. But some of you have told me you expected the stats to catch up to the present day. The delay is there to stay I'm afraid.

    All the best,

    Rob
