    Hi,

just wondering if what I am doing is approved.

OK the legacy codes look like this right ?

    < a href= "http: //www.anrdoezrs......" target="_top">Affiliate</a> - < a href= "http: //www.anrdoezrs......" target="_top " > Affiliate </a>
    < img src= "http://www.anrdoezrs......" width="1" height="1" border="0 "/ >

On my domain i make a frame and insert only the bold part of the code so when visitors access my site they are directed to the affiliate site on my framed site.

    Is this permitted ?

    Hi,

No you are not permitted to frame the ebay site either in part or whole - it
    is against both CJ's/eBay's terms.

Also you are not allowed to use instant redirects i.e. a visitor cannot simply
visit your site and be redirected without making any action such as
    to click a link.

Rather than framing eBay you can use the ebay editor kit to create
a simple page of results for a given search term - the visitor would have
to click a link though to be transfered to eBay.

    HTH

    Cheers

    Thank you..

This becaue eBay does not allow URL redirect isn't it.

Than for advertisers who do allow URL redirect, can I take that bold part of the code then put in on a javascript so visitors can be directed without clicking action ?

    Thanks

No, it's not to do with url redirect - it is that almost without exception advertisers do not allow you to send them traffic via 'forced' clicks - the visitor needs to make a concious decision to go to the merchant site.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.

Yes - within reason. You should check the TOS of the network you
are thinking of as each may have different rules as to what is/isn't allowed.

Here is just one example from CJ (as you posted in this section)

"You must promote Advertisers such that You do not mislead the Visitor, and such that the Links deliver bona fide Transactions by the Visitor to Advertiser from the Link. You shall not cause any Transactions to be made that are not in good faith, including, but not limited to, using any device, program, robot, Iframes, or hidden frames."

    You can read more here:
    http://www.cj.com/psa.html

As I say each network will have different requirements so you should check first.

    HTH

    Cheers

    Steve
