They said they'd re-think their affiliate approach and looks like March...
Perhaps particularly interesting for those of you running reward/cash back sites.Dear Affiliate,
We’re excited to announce that from March 1st 2007 we’ll be making changes to the way we reward affiliates. We hope that these changes will offer you greater flexibility and more opportunities to earn more money from eBay.co.uk’s Affiliate Programme.
The major change to the programme will be a new revenue-sharing component. This means that not only will you be paid based on the number of new Active Confirmed Registered Users (ACRUs) you deliver to eBay but we’ll also give you a share of the revenue generated by the Bids and Buy it Nows you deliver to the site.
This email is just a heads up. We’ll be providing more information and publishing the full payment structure in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on your inbox for news. You can also visit the Affiliates Discussion board for updates.
We hope that you’ll be as excited about this new way to earn as we are.
Regards,
The eBay.co.uk Affiliate Team

Exactly.
Reward sites are not allowed to incentivise any action.
Therefore an incentivisable rev-share scheme is 100% understandable and welcome
I imagine this change has been made with reward sites in mind therefore SID should be active.
Good for Ebay, CJ and reward sites.
Hi all,
Hope people aren't too hungover from last night - good stuff. I wish I'd won the black DS though.
Thanks for highlighting RevShare and beating me to the post - I was just writing my post when this one appeared.
We launch in March 1 - regarding incentive sites - we will be SID tracking with RevShare, the tracking infrastructure will not change. Additionally we will allow incentivisation on the RevShare component but I am still making a decision on ACRU.
In terms of 'what is revenue' - it's the money eBay makes from a won auctions i.e. feature fees, final value fee etc. You'll get paid a % of the revenue from all won auctions (bid/bin) in the 7 days after click.
Additionally in the reporting you'll get the sales prices and quantity sold in the OID field, and we'll confirm the new tiers structure next week.
It's going be pretty exciting and really reward existing affiliates for driving good quality traffic, and allow new affiliates to test in different verticals (eg electricals/motors).
Please let me know either in this thread or direct if you have any questions.
Cheers
Cian

Hi Cian,
thanks for the heads up. Sounds like a positive move.![]()
(see if you can twist some arm's for the Acrus, closely monitored for quality of course).
7 days... make it a small percentage but lifetime revenue split
