I see the program launched on the 1st August, now unless I have a slight case of amnesia I don't recall signing up to the UK program, for which I just received a confirmation email. Now I was signed up to the US program back in July 07 it seems. But why was I auto signed up to the UK program? Granted we would have possibly / probably signed up to this specific program, but it's not always the case. So a little elaboration would be appreciated to auto signing me to programs without prior consent.

    Hi Paul,

You are right – a little elaboration is warranted.

All Adobe accounts were launched linked together through Cross Cookie Correlation as clones of the US based programme. Please be assured the terms and payouts are identical. Automatic approval ensured accurate tracking and that all affiliates receive commission for their Adobe traffic.

For more information on Cross Cookie Correlation, please read here: http://www.affiliates4u.com/forums/c...on-launch.html

    Thank you,
    Dan

    Hi Dan,

I am not trying to catch you out, but I was expecting the cross tracking answer, but if that was the case then do no relationships exist with Adobe France, Sweden, Germany?

Are the T&C's "consistent" across each program?

Whilst there maybe good intent in this instance, it's maybe not an advisable avenue to pursue, and perhaps a simple email informing affiliates of the option & an additional pending offer may have been a more suitable route of communication.

I don't expect you'll get much backlash, if any, but auto signing a "contract" obo an affiliate is no no in my book.

    Hi Paul,

No worries, your questions are completely valid.

Affiliates were joined to particular programmes based upon their existing traffic with main programme. So, as you were running UK traffic for the US, you were added to the UK to ensure you would track.

All the terms are identical. .

I look forward to your feedback.

    Thanks,

    Dan

    Hi Dan,

I received your PM and have replied via that route. I 'll quite happily copy my communication to here, if you wish to have a more open discussion about it generally ie the principle of auto signing up affiliates to programs.

    All the best

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for your PM. I think that your points were completely valid, however I just wanted to reiterate that this was a unique situation and tracking international publisher commissions absolutely had to be our priority over everything else.

Thanks also for your continued feedback – all the points that you have raised have been taken on board.

    Regards
    Dan
