Time and time again I am getting merchants on CJ contacting me and asking why I do not promote them.

Yes, I have the perfect site to sell your products!
Yes, you sell exactly what I am looking to target!
Yes, I would love to form a good working relationship!

BUT..... I struggle to deep link to your products and brand pages

The majority of other networks have simple to use deep linking tools.

Please CJ the time of just sticking a banner on a site is long gone!!

The only way that I can get deeplinks to work from CJ is to put the whole code in a paragraph tag - including that stupid image thing!
Removing the image or putting the code in a heading tag or picture seems to be very unreliable?

Of course, that's after going through the whole 'find product' farce which doesn't work half of the time either!

Although hats off to the agencies and merchants for trying to come up with work arounds, but they should not have to!!

I don't use CJ much but have just logged in to see how easy it is to build a deep link and it took me all of 10 seconds. Not sure why you are having a problem? Here's what I did.

Chose my advertiser, in this case Argos

Get HTML
Paste the URL of the page I want to deep link to in the "Destination URL" field
Click "Update Link Code"

Done! A nice and straightforward html text link that worked when I tested it.

Everyone knows that the CJ page takes 10 seconds to load before you can even log in?

I must apologise - I just did a test on this and it only took 9 seconds

Not all have a Destination URL - the new fashion merchant Oli for example.

Hotel Chocolat have to send out a spreadsheet of the product Id's so you can use the Destination URL.

I wish it was just that straight forward

Yep, good news and about time! Difficulties with deeplinking on our program arose because we use SEO friendly URL’s. It wasn't down to problems with CJ technology. The new tool will make life a lot easier

Hi aaclapham,

At this time Oli does not have deeplink/redirect enabled. There is a bit more development to be done with the merchant. Once its sorted, we will make sure to let everyone know.
