Thread: Deep Linking Argos

Have you tried their csv product database?..not sure if deep links are on there.

How do you get their csv feed?

Come to that - how do you find out which cj merchants have product feeds - and how do you get them?

I've tried emailing cj support directly on this but have not had a response....

Argos do have deep links in the database, but most of the time while I've had the data feed the deep links have been broken, and just go to an error page.

I think they've got the problem fixed now, but there are other problems with it, for example you'll find one item has several different entries in the database, with slightly different catalogue numbers.
Apparently this is because the items may be found in several different places, (for example a playstation may be in the games section, and also in electronics), and each time it has a different catalogue number.
So if you're trying to set up a product search function, you'll end up having the same Argos products more than once, unless you program your search to ignore the duplicates.
