Can't see how to alter the size of it...
Hi All
Just to let you know the content generator for M&S is now live on CJ, we have set the tags so you can resize the unit to fit your customised space. The unit will be updated on a weekly basis. Link ID in CJ is 10285266
Cheers

That's brilliant Helen. Great feature and a big time saver for us affiliates.
Just wish you offered more than 3% commission, then we'd sign up![]()
Hi Mogga, The CJ version of the content generator is slightly different to tradedoubler version, you have to specify the space in your website code then integrate the cj code - give me a shout if you want to go over anything.
Hi Nadeem, i understand your position on the 3% issue. I spoke at the CJU conference a week ago and i talked about deal structure and the challenges that merchants like us face. I would suggest that you trial the M&S program for a month our conversions are very strong and the brand does convert well. Like most partnership managers it is easier for me to present a case if those affiliates like yourself who are not currently promoting M&S actually trial the program for a month and show us what you can do. I know this may be frustrating but untill the market is more educated this is the easiest way to present a case for higher commissions. I have very tight budgets for Marks & Spencer and this is currently our limit, but i am always working on improving the program. We recently changed from net sales at 62% to paying on gross sales with NO chargebacks.
Cheers
Helen
I found that the content generator just fills up the space it's given so just stick it in a table or a table cell where you have set a fixed width and it will fit itself in there.
yes I'd found it expands to fill the space available...
Helen, is there any chance of having it broken down into small bits? So that each category is separate?
will investigate mogga, but i don't think so. what size were you hoping for?
I'd like to be able to place just the kids bit on a page about kids stuff at m&s ... and the womens bit on a page about womens stuff at m&s.
I do have general m&s pages but I'd like to use it in a more specific way.
once i have proved the sucess of the existing content unit i will be able to investigate doing category specific ones - so watch this space

Thanks Helen.
Thanks for the feedback Helen. I know you're trying to fight our corner there![]()
I realise you have a tough job working with the hierarchy, but we base our decision on who to promote on the EPC at CJ. After various brand names who we have been loyal to for years and generated tens of thousands of pounds of sales for treated us like dirt, we just prostitute ourselves to the highest payers now.
Just like the M&S managerial team would not even let us into their office if we offered them terms that were significantly worse than their current supplies, I can't trial M&S just to educate them. We're having a tough time here and can't devote resources to companies paying 3% commission, single-session cookie, which we receive about two months after a sale is generated.
I was chatting to an American businesswoman yesterday who wanted to buy our dating site and when I told her we received 50% commission on the sign-up rate, residually (from Dating-Central), she was shocked - she thought it was too low. I was trying to explain to her that 50% was an incredible rate compared to other affiliate programs, but being used to offline marketing, she thought we should be receiving a higher cut! God knows what she would have thought if I mentioned how little most merchants at TD/DGM2/CJ etc. pay.
Helen, you have a good brand, a fantastic affiliate manager - you! - and I wish M&S all the best with their affiliate programAs the other messages show, there are people willing to promote you and I wish them and you lots of success.
My mum treats M&S like a religion almost, must be loads of other women out there like that which would make them a good brand to push.
