Can anyone possibly, give me a helping hand, or words of wisdom. I am currently designing my first website. Which i am using for lead generation. But i need some help really.
I am using 1and1 website builder plus software. All i need to know is how i would put a form for customers to fill their details in, on my site and how would i retrieve the data? or may it just be worth putting our contact details so customer can get in touch?

    Thanx

Are you making an affiliate website?

    I wouldn't recommend 1and1 website builder!!

Honestly, I don't think there's anything easier to get to grips with than Wordpress. Plenty of good guides on here! If you get your own hosting with CPANEL, then Wordpress is extremely easy to install and use. Message me if you want more details, good luck :-D

maybe our friend is using that method because it's the one he knows, and maybe because he thinks it's better, maybe he doesn't know how to create a website, come on, not everyone has the knowledge, or money to have better software; i suggest that you try Wordpress or joomla, but if you don't have so much storage, the best is wordpress, it's easy, it's fast, and kind of customisable. As other says, read about wordpress settings, and take a chance to build your site using wordpress, there are a lot of templates for wordpress out there, and maybe you can find one that best suit your needs.
Also you can try to use and learn Dreamweaver, and if you do, you wont need wordpress, or joomla, only if you want to use them. Take care pal! and welcome!

By the way, if you are using 1 on 1 building software, maybe it includes the creation of the forms, and it make the conection with the database that you specify, and the data is stored in the database, it could be in mysql.

I'm not familar with the 1 n 1 site builder however it should have a form facility as standard, the simplest way to get the infomation they enter is to set the form to email you their submission once they hit the submit, it's a standrd option on forms.

One other thing, if they have a captcha ability or something similar to ensure bots don't complete the form use it; it is a barrier to submission but most people are happy to do this nowadays and it will keep the spam to a minimum.

    Regards,
    Phil.

    1. I know of none successful internet marketers using that platform for their sites.
    2. Wordpress is Google's Love.
    3. There are hundreds of flexible wordpress templates out there for you to customize.
    4. Even a simple html editor like Kompozer can do that job.
