    Hi,

The site Direct Plan is getting regular natural traffic and is starting to get good natural positions on Google, however the conversion rate is currently very low although it has made sales (December was just over 0.5%). The services offered are quite competitive so I don't think this is putting people off.

Any tips for improvement appreciated. Would any conversion rate optimisation and design masters like to completely re-do the site in web 2.0 style? From looking at Analytics, pretty much all visitors look at mobile phone insurance so I think it will be more beneficial for the site to be completely focussed on this, with pages for each different phone brand (emphasis on iPhone).

Pretty confident this site can do much better with the tweaks.

    Cheers

If you are looking for user's feedback there is a website that allows you to create tailored "feedback forms" that your visitors can fill in while navigating your site.

Asking your visitors directly why they don't buy from your site would be really useful I think.

the site is Website analysis and evaluation reports of your site - Welcome to LiteTest

    Good luck!

In most cases poor conversion rates are down to one of two factors:

You are targeting the wrong keywords, i.e. your content does not answer their question.

It takes more than a few seconds to find the action button. Look at your layout and try out different positions or colours for the action button.

Just had a quick look.. what type of market / Keyword research have acquired into this sector as you should see a trend? Just a tip as most people are broke this time of year and are looking to go Holiday . Not to say the least when purchasing a new item you get the store owner trying to sell you a package too . My book says look for item in demand and not items that can be purchased from any and every where.

We're focussing on conversion and, unfortunately, it does cost ££££s to get professionals involved - although this is worth if if they increase conversions by only a couple of percent.
We've looked at our main keywords and the corresponding landing page, and realised that folk simply aren't finding what they are looking for, easy enough!! - and leaving.
So we're changing the page to make it as easy as possible for visitors to instantly see what they need to do to find the exact product - the page isn't going to be as 'pretty' - but it should work better.

Avoid too many PPC link/images. This will distract your visitors especially the traffic of your site. instead they they are taking a long time browsing to your site, with too many PPC advertisements they'll gonna click it easily. If your home page is crammed with PPC ads and links to other sites, it’s distracting and you’ll see a lot more bounces which visitors who never get past your site.

Surprising how seldom you see that comment or similar, which is odd considering the idea is to make money, not have an attractive website.

It makes absolute sense from a user's perspective though.
You can get half way there by just pretending to be a user yourself, or get 10 friends to do it for a nice meal.

well, the content must answer your customers doubts, and also, involve them in the process of your services, make your contents interesting, they need to share their experiences, implement a guest book, or something like that, also, put some testimonials, your customer would like to see other people like them talking about your services and their benefits, make your site attractive to your market, use other keywords, test them, and find the ones that best suit your needs.

Since your keywords are "Traffic" types, then it would be more appropriate for you to use that site to collect interested parties email and names instead of using it as a direct sales site. Check out Aweber or Mailchimp if you need an autoresponder.
