Last day of the Month - time to start wishing

Time to start hoping that several merchants will actually finally vaildate there sales.

Scottish Power - paff yeah right, ive got pendings from Early April
Tiscali - After there tracking messed up be nice if they vaildate today so I can get my bonus.
Motley Fool - Again loads of pendings
Yes Car - does anyone know when these people last vaildated?

When will DGM actually start a system that auto vaildates after a certin while.

    please validate maplins, first choice,

Why are not all sales approved like other networks and they sorted later?? If a partner is on one or more affilite networks, we normally choose the one other than DGM because of this reason.

    Scott147,

Just because DGM's pending sytem is more visable to affiliates / users, it doen't mean the other networks don't have something similar in place whether pending, batch processing, extended periods....etc...

Personally I am in favour of the pending sytem, I believe there is a possibility of auto-validation after a set period in the near future...for some merchants..ideally this would be applied to all of them with time.

All my Boys Stuff sales were validated today but the one worth £23 wasn't, it was DELETED - How annoying <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif" />

I agree with QGJ the DGM system is a lot fairer than the CJ batch processing one. At least with pendings you know the sales existed and can query excessive deletions. With the batch processing system you don't even know whether a sale ever existed so how can you query it.

Pending is open to abuse though, but if some form of auto-validation is bought in then it will go some way to solving the problem.

I prefer to see the pendings, just wish they would sort them out. It takes the when you get a sale validated sale from 3 months back.

By the way. dialaphone didn't validate any more sales for me
which is why I keep taking them off every page I find them on.

Sales pending for months back, keeps their cashflow up but stops them getting pused as much.

I suspect that the Dialaphone still showing pending from April and May should have been deleted as they've validated transactions from both these months.

I think DGM need to get some control over aging pendings or they'll lose credibility just like TD did once over merchant no payment.

I feel non validation is as bad as non/late payment.

TD have really sorted themselves out but DGM is sliding...........

I advocate Auto Validation, but how can we get around a scenario whereby a merchant may delete valid pending sales because they don't wish them to be auto-validated.

Unless a network throws in valid sales of their own to test for this or some flagging system when deleted sales reach an unacceptable %.

Any suggestions to a better solution?

determining an acceptable % is hard though.

I would accept a higher level of deletions for mobile phones and high price stuff than I would from say a book merchant as there is more possibility of credit card fraud.

Its also difficult to tell if deletions are legit unless someone (either networks or affs) are doing regular test purchases.

Some of the rebate sites (i.e. greasy palm) would be in a good position to tell, cos they would be telling members that they aren't due a payment. If the membr then claims to have received the goods you get a clue if the merchant is pulling a fast one.
