Net Free Stuff,
I appreciate your efforts to keep good relationships between affiliates and networks but you've got to agree that it's a bit on the shoddy side that the DGM2 web site had different "last updated" dates on different pages for their suspended merchants and that More Th>n were not included in that list. If I were an affiliate that checked that date saying "Updated 30/5" I might not have clicked on the link so wouldn't have seen any suspended merchants from this month.
I guess I'm mostly upset that there's no automatic notification of a site being suspended. If you're running a site that relies on Google free listings to get its traffic then I can imagine that you might utter a "bugger" or two when you find something suspended. When you're spending serious money on pay per clicks it is much more serious. I really don't think that the networks appreciate the amount of money that affiliates are spending on pay per click engines just so that people can click on links that have been suspended. Perhaps I'll send DGM2 the bill and see what they say.
Perhaps someone from DGM2 could give us an insight into why a program can be suspended so soon after startup. Do they not test these links before the thing goes live ?. Were ANY of the sales tracked correctly since the sceme started ?. Is tracking of the home insurance scheme working correctly ?. So many questions....so few answers !!
I'm all for good relationships but let's not take it to extremes eh?
Ross
