Books Direct (Books for Children, Mango, Just Good Books, TSP and Taste) have changed the way they validate affiliate sales. As of May 1st, a process of reconciliation will be introduced, where by all orders are screened for non-valid sales and are processed over a 3 week period. For example: sales made in the week of May 1st will be validated in the week of 21st May.
Books Direct have run numerous test validations and the average drop off from sales to validated sales is 15%, therefore, we expect this to have little impact on your sales.
Drop off 15% and little impact?
Yeah, I found that a little strange - How can a 15% dropoff be "little impact". It's going to be quite a hefty impact for me.
Also, if they are to be processed over a 3 week period, that should speed things up a fair bit - Sales from the beginning of April have only been verified yesterday, and I still have a large number of pendings from April outstanding.
