Should the networks not take resaponsibility for this sort of thing happening?
Or do they not lose money from it?
For those who disapprove these rival pop ups like we do
Insurance Centre Pops Up T4Biz when you reach the "Get Quote" stage.
Bye Bye Merchant, Off the site you go until you sort this out.

Only the merchants can choose what happens with their sites, however the networks should be pointing out why this is a mistake to do this on affiliate traffic (Networks are losing money to others). As I keep saying they can do what they like with there own traffic but with our traffic it should be all about the sale/lead and not trying to lead people to other place where we make no money from.
I'm thinking about the options mentioned for making sure it doesn't appear during cookie duration from a network - surely the network loses money as much as we do if the traffic is directed elsewhere.
A network which made it a condition for merchants not to hijack cookied traffic would be onto a big thumbs up from everyone here I'm sure.
I guess maybe the best thing to do then is to simply email the affiliate manager/webmaster/IT Manager of every merchant where their pop-ups are discovered. I humbly suggest that if everytime an affiliate finds one of their pop-ups on a site and then emails the company concerned, politely informing them that affiliates and shopping directories across the UK will give the red card to any merchant carrying this pop-up, the situation will quickly sort itself out.
And to assist in achieving this end, anytime anyone finds an Arndale pop-up, that they mention it in this esteemed forum, and then we call all send an email ...for the sake of a few minutes effort it will go a long way towards defending our positions!
Also if you have a "Submit URL" option on your site as we do, put up a few words explaining that merchants serving the Arndale pop-up cannot be considered for inclusion.
If we work proactively to combat this situation we will see results - if we don't, the sitaution will only get worse - particularly if they have a tele-sales opeartion working every day on selling this flunk to merchants.
We have told the networks, which merchants have been given the red card, but none have got back to us yet!
