    Hi gunneradt,

The feed import has been moved forward to run in the morning, so hopefully you should see less of this in future.

    Kind regards

    no that's even worse.

Now we have breaks still showing for April 15 and 16 this evening which both shouldnt be there. It needs to update at 6pm as it did previously but remove everything before and including the same day's breaks.

It worked for the whole of last year (mostly) so why has it suddenly stopped working

    Hi gunneradt,

The feed pulls through data that Haven generate once a day. There is no more recent update to the feed available. By moving the import to early morning, it means that your deals should more closely align with the data available from Haven.

It is still possible to book a holiday for the same day, so the data is still valid. I could ask Haven to remove deals for the same day, but other affiliates have said they do not want that. Generally when working with feeds I would prefer to have all available information and filter out what I don't want - is there any way that you can filter the data yourself to exclude deals for the current day?

    Kind regards

when the haven feed was updated last year at 6pm it didn't include the same day - that was perfect

    why has it changed?

    Hi gunneradt,

I don't know why its changed then. Perhaps the process that builds the feed takes itself from an internal business process at Haven that has changed to include dates for today? For example its possible that the website previously didn't accept such last minute bookings, and now they do?

Now that we've moved its import forward so it better matches the Haven feed, which generates at 5am each morning, I would have expected fewer deals from today, as you were previously picking up yesterdays feed. I will ask the client to investigate what has changed.

    Cheers

    Ben

    Hi gunneradt,

I've spoken to the agency and they insist that the feed has contained same day deals for at least 9 months, as they built a display campaign around last minute 'deals for today' back then using the datafeed.

Our import process hasn't changed, we're still downloading the feed that is generated by Haven at 5am, just doing it sometime after 6am rather than 6pm, so the feed should be more up to date if you download it in the morning, but if you're still updating after 6pm then effectively nothing has changed for you.

I don't know what else could have changed?

    Regards

    Ben

    Hi Andrew,

Can you email me or give me a call letting me know the problem you are having with the feed?

We can get the issued resolved quicker this way as going back and forth on the forum is just prolonging the issue.

    Thanks,

    Rob

    ok next week

    it's a simple fix though

just need to remove same day from the day's update in the evening

they ran it that way all last year
