"As explained last week, the Screwfix.com website stopped taking new orders temporarily to enable us to despatch a backlog of orders. This backlog was created by a high level of demand from our latest catalogue combined with the transfer of our fulfilment operation to our new centre in Stoke-on-Trent.

As planned, the website began taking orders again on Sunday afternoon. We will continue to take orders as long as we have the capacity to maintain our next day delivery promise. For this reason Screwfix.com will continue to experience periods of unavailability when orders will not be taken.

The website will always carry the latest information, and I will send you another communication as soon as we are back to normal service.
