  Nicky Iapino leaves DGM

Taken from the Stock Exchange News Service:

Director resignation

The board of directors (“the Board”) of Deal Group Media plc (“the Company”) announces that Nicky Iapino, Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board, has tendered her resignation as a member of the Board and as an employee of the Company.

The board wishes to thank Nicky for her invaluable contribution, and wishes her every success for the future.

Commenting on Nicky’s resignation, Adrian Moss, Chief Executive Officer, said: ‘Nicky played an instrumental role in ensuring our merger with IBNet was a success. Now that that business has been seamlessly integrated into the Deal Group Media operation Nicky has decided to step down.

‘Since the merger, the Company has put in place a new management team capable of moving the company through its next growth phase. Recent account wins include Virgin Mobile, Apple, Vodafone and B&Q.’

_______________________________

Speaking personally I wish Nicky all the best in whatever role she chooses to take next - Nicky has always been personally helpful whenever I've felt need to raise an issue with her and Nicky certainly brought about a quantum change in attitude and performance at DGM (though whether it was Nicky who has built into them their ability to post positive news on this forum while sidestepping negative queries with more finesse than a new labour politician with their pager on overdrive only she/they will know).

I just hope for everyone at DGM and for all of us affiliates / merchants who deal with DGM that they do not suffer from her departure in the same way CJ UK did - I believe that it is only since the Gloucester g2g that CJ have recovered any of the ground they lost following Nickys move to DGM.

Good luck Nicky in whatever you’re doing next.

DGM > AW > CJ > DGM ... could it be a return to AW .... mmm my bets would be on a move to TD if your staying inside the industry, however don't know of any top level jobs going at TD.

  Good luck

Good luck Nicky.

It made me chuckle where it says;
"Recent account wins include Virgin Mobile, Apple, Vodafone and B&Q."

Shame they missed off;
"Recent account loses include HomeOwners, Freedom Finance, Bet Shop, Movie Trak, Oki-ni, The Insurance Centre, Post-a-Rose, Motley Fool, Newitts Sports, Mankind, ServicedLet, Easy Odds, Next6Weeks, Sporting Bet, Net-a-Way, RedAlertz, Menkind, and Scottish Power."

Maybe they didn't have enough room in the press release

Personally I think it would be great for TD if Nicky did head over that way, think it does need a good sort out in the Network/Affiliate side of things. Ahh well....

* corrected account loses following Rich the 2nd's comments below. Could have sworn the Loanline email just said the usual suspended pending termination tho. Apologies if I misread.

Hi guys,

Just to let you know Loanline and The Alternative Gifts Catalogue are still on our network.

Loanline is currently suspended due to re-design of its site and creative in order to adhere to the new FSA regulations. We will inform you when you can continue your promotion of this client. When the program re-opens we will be paying £30 CPA base rate.

The Alternative Gifts Catalogue (Great Gifts Cat) is live. This is a 3 month campaign for the Christmas period. Creative, links and a product inventory can be found in your admin area.

Kind Regards

OT: Richard, while you're about, and following on from the 'sidestepping negative queries' point above, would you be able to comment on this thread?

We can only speculate as to any real reasons pertaining to this sudden announcement which is surprising yet disappointing news.

Nicky, what ever vocation you decide to pursue, I sincerely wish you every happiness & success, you deserve it...hoping that you'll at least stay within the industry, because your contribution would be invaluable. Maybe something where you can continue to exert all your ideas of taking the industry forward at a rapidly controlled rate without contraints.

Wherever you have been, it's always induced more confidence within the network wherever you have resided.

Hopefully you'll still remain in touch with some of us.

Good Luck

Hi Frostie

Good to see that you keep close tabs on the programs we are running. The programs you mention have been terminated by ourselves. (Please refer to this thread )

We are continually monitoring all of the programs we run on the network, in order that we can maintain a high level of performance and quality, which will give our publishers the potential to earn higher levels of commission.

The programs that have been terminated, unfortunately did not meet our expectations hence the reason for the deletion from the network.

We will continually endeavour to maintain the quality of the advertisers we bring onto the network.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Or perhaps CJs ongoing success is due to the arrival of Jonthan Forster?

And supercod hunny, Nicky never worked for Awin but I am sure they would welcome her with open arms, would be a real feather in their cap
