Hi,

Just a quick note to tell you about a great new publisher incentive BT Shop has launched for March.

The top performing publisher (most revenue generated) will win a whopping £1,000, with the runner-up pocketing a cool £500.

BT Shop relaunched their site towards the end of 2004 and now offer a whole host of electrical and digital products including cameras, digiboxes, plasma screens, computing accessories, mp3 players and (of course) phones.

BT Shop also features a host of award-winning products at up to 30% off. There's free delivery for spends of over £79.99 and we have a new XML feed ready and waiting for publishers to use.

We will also be streamlining the number of banners we have in the next month or so. If you're signed up to the BT Shop program you'll be hearing from us about this soon.

I've lost track of how many times I've posted this response to these kinds of rewards but here goes again...

It's great to reward your top affiliates but being realistic most of us have no chance of toppling your existing top affiliates inside a month.

Consider offering:
1) Prize for top performing affiliate
2) Prize for most improved affiliate
3) Lucky dip prize for any active affiliate in period.

That way everyone has an incentive to avtively promote your products which, I presume, is the object of the exercise.

Thanks for your comments.

BT Shop has offered similar incentives to this in the past as well as setting bespoke targets for a range of publishers, so I'm sure we'll offer a variety of cash incentives in the future.

Agree completely with Joe.

It does nothing at all to incentivise me - for the reasons already stated - so won't result in a single ounce of extra promo work.

In my book, rather than being "a great new publisher incentive", that just makes this an expensive treat for their existing high performers and a missed opportunity to incentivise the rest of us.

It took several months to receive the webcam, so I think we'll hold back on this one out of principle.

Even though we did well with the program & have won in the past...I do think option 3 is fairier

Further to your comments, I'm pleased to say there is now a prize available for most improved publisher in March.

£250 will be awarded to the publisher who demonstrates the biggest growth in sales.
