  Stan James suspension?

I've had my Stan James program suspended for the last few days but I have no idea why. I have contacted DGM but had no response. Has anyone else had the same problem?

  Stan James

Just mailed Stan James who reckon I cannot sign up as there may be some legal stuff going on with DGM. Can DGM respond, are Stan James suspended or what ?

EDIT: I meant to say I tried to sign up to their in house programme

If this is the issue I think it is then you just need to get written permission from DGM to allow you to use Stan James inhouse program. Oddly enough, if they were switching to another network, or using an agent/agency, you shouldn't need to bother.

From DGM Publisher's T&C's: -
Quote:
7.1 The Publisher acknowledges that for the period of the Agreement and for 6 (six) months following its termination:
(a) the Publisher shall not, without dgm’s prior written consent communicate directly with an Advertiser in relation to any matters involving the Service or any programmes relating to Advertisements;
this is not legal advice!

It would be very helpful if DGM could state this on there "Suspended Programs" page as all it says on there site is:
"The StanJames program has been set to'suspended' until further notice. Please remove any links you maybe using."

No mention of pending removal from the network!

I personally did not receive the email informing me of Stan James REMOVAL as i mentioned in this thread http://www.a4uforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=29601 and i am sure many others did not receive it.

Mandyjb dont you think it would be a good idea to have complete accurate info on DGMs suspended programs page, as there certainly appears to be an email communication problem with DGM.

Is that right? The mail from SJ did not mention that but I will follow up with them. Thanks Rich.

I don't know if its right but, if Stan James are stopping you from joining their inhouse program because of issues DGM, it would seem that its DGM that would be stopping it and the above seems to be the only term in DGM's publishers or advertisers T&Cs that would have an affect - then again, it could just be a miss understanding.

So how does this "rule" work?
What if there's a merchant I've not used on DGM - and they leave and start an independent program - can I not join that?

I'm just looking for the email and can't find one saying they've left. I'm normally very good with email - so maybe I didn't get one. They're also still showing up in the permission based bit too. So are they gone for everyone?

Well Yeah!!

Didn't you know that if you shop in Tesco you can't just go and buy the groceries in ASDA next week!

Jeez, how barmy can you (merchants/networks) get?!

Why would a network think they could or should have a clause like that and why would even a half-sensate merchant sign up to it?

Most days, my mind boggles.

PS. not you Mogga, I'm as gobsmacked at the stupidity of that as you are.
I'm glad I've left DGM's programs on the back-burner - there are more fish in the barrel (oops, 'in the sea', I mean - Freud slips again)

The irony of this thread is that we are on the inhouse program but tried to switch to DGM but were refused!
