Just a wee update on the Budget Rent a Car program as it keeps getting better with all kinds of improvements to their affiliate program.

They have introduced price-driven creative, led by rates like £16/day for rentals in France and Ireland and £12/day in the UK. You will also find price-driven text links in your management area.

Budget has also made terrific improvements to their booking engine which has had a very strong and immediate impact on the conversion rate – last week was nearly twice as high as during the summer! The booking process has been streamlined, the copy has been shaved and buttons show a clearer next action step. This is all in addition to the launch of a new function which shows pictures of the car selected along with a range of upgraded choices and prices.

To address the rising cost of fuel, Budget has introduced a fantastic promotion for US rentals: free fuel in the USA when booking car groups C, D and E. All the customer needs to do is enter Coupon No. GUWZ002 and they will receive their first tank of fuel free! And there is always the 5% discount for booking online.

Budget is in final testing for the van booking engine specifically for affiliates and I will let you know once that has been implemented - should be a nice little addition to the program.
