From 1st February 2006, base rate commission for Petplan is up to £24 - that's an increase of £5.50 per new customer insurance! Plus with the new bonus tiers, this means you can now earn up almost double the old rate and get £35 per small animals sale.

New Tier is now from £24 up to £35

Already with a high commission of £24.50, Petplan Equine now offers publishers even more opportunity to earn great commission on this unique product.

As a leading provider for quality pet insurance, Petplan now offers the highest commission for animal insurance on our network and has an even better conversion rate of 3.5%. January was the best month ever since Petplan launched on dgm with an average EPC of £1.41.

Take advantage of these great new rates, and the busy new year's period to boost your Petplan sales - the more you make, the more you earn!

We do a fair bit of ppc for pet insurance related terms & send direct to other merchants.

Will Pet Plan lift the display URL embargo or are ppc affiliates going to remain direct competitors in that ad space and send traffic to merchants who do allow their display url?

Let's see how keen they really are to work with affiliates?

I don't see the display url embargo as such a big issue. Merchants do it for a reason, the reasons are obvious.

You can bid on the pet plan trademark, is that not enough?

This is from their T&C's with keyword restriction too, which is not an issue

Brand bidding - Affiliates may not bid on any keywords that includes the following words: petplan, pet plan, petpla , pet plan, allianz cornhill URL - The company/product name can not form the primary part of your display URL. For example; www.brand.co.uk/affiliate is not allowed and www.affiliate.co.uk/brand is ok. This applies to all search engines. Deep linking is not allowed on this campaign.
I would gladly send them traffic if there wasn't a url restriction.

    lol - I wish I was

I recently went thru dgm stuff remembered their policy & was noticing conflicting information in ppc restrictions in different places for various programs which was brought up with them... no idea if they have sorted it out .. i don't think so.

About a 6 to 9 months ago we had an email saying we could brand name bid but needed to create a landing page. Unfortunately I didn't get around to it. Then when I eventually did, noticed the T&C's. It may have been opened to only a few affiliates and perhaps I was one of those at the time .. cannot remember. But i guess there still is a group who can judging by the google ads.
