    Dear Affiliates,

To follow on from my earlier post about the re-launch of the Club 18-30 campaign, they are offering affiliates the opportunity to pitch for brand bidding rights.

    In order to award these brand rights we are requesting affiliates to submit a brief case study of why they should be awarded with the brand rights. Your case study should include the following information;

    - An estimated volume of traffic you will be able to deliver to the Club 18-30 site on Generic and Brand activity.
    - An estimated volume of sales that you would be able to achieve, broken down by brand and generic activity.
    - Will there be a dedicated account manager running the Club 18-30 campaign?
    - Example experiences of successful brand bidding campaigns that you have previously run.

These case studies will be reviewed on an individual basis by both dgmAffiliates and Club 18-30. We are keen to get the brand bidding rights in place ASAP so the deadline for receiving your case study is close of play, Friday 3rd August.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Matt Swan.

    Kind Regards,

    dgmAffiliates

    Matt,

We would be interested but before we spend time on this can you advise how you will prove what is told is actual. From our experience of similar request people/affiliates make over exaggerated claims and get accepted.

Especially as not information is given on brand traffic the brand generates.

    Hi Steve,

We will be closely monitoring the volumes that are being delivered by the affiliates that are given these brand bidding rights. Activity will reviewed after 3 months and if it is found that the affiliate has been completely unrealistic, their position will be offered to another affiliate.

We do not take affiliates over-exaggerating lightly and if they do, it will damage their chances of successfully pitching for brand terms in the future.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Steve,

I'm not sure what more we can do here? At dgmAffiliates we always aim to be completely honest and transparent and by opening this brand rights pitch out to anyone and everyone who wishes to take part we are attempting to do that. I hope that you would trust our experience to be able to tell what is realistic and what is not, so if affiliates are coming to us with overexaggerated figures we will know.

With regards the amount of traffic there, I'm sure you do not expect us to publish traffic levels on brand keywords. This is one of the things that you have to weigh up when deciding whether you wish to pitch for this opportunity or not.

When all pitches have been received we will work closely with the client to decide which proposals will work most closely with them to achieve their business aims. One of the main gripes I hear from affiliates in circumstances like this is that brand rights always go to the same people. By opening it up to everyone and posting it on a public forum we are hoping to overcome these objections. It is completely up to you whether you pitch to be involved, but rest assured if you do you will receive a fair and unbiased hearing.

    Best regards,

    Matt
